Abdulrahman Hamad — Film Director
Cairo & Riyadh

Abdulrahman Hamad is an Egyptian film director based between Cairo and Riyadh, known for his emotionally immersive films and visually rich storytelling. With over 15 years of experience, he has directed TV series, commercials, short films, and music videos — blending aesthetic precision with emotional depth across platforms and genres.

His approach to directing is rooted in building fully realized cinematic worlds — where image, rhythm, and performance exist in harmony. Abdulrahman is particularly drawn to shaping authentic, human characters, working closely with actors to craft emotionally layered, believable performances. For him, visual beauty means little unless it carries emotional truth.

Earlier in his journey, Abdulrahman worked extensively in animation and CGI, developing a meticulous eye for composition and atmosphere. His time as CG Art Director at AROMA Designs & Solutions sharpened his ability to align artistic vision with narrative purpose. Today, he brings that same precision to live-action filmmaking — always in service of story and soul.

In parallel with his directing career, Abdulrahman teaches Film Directing at the Information Technology Institute (ITI), mentoring young filmmakers in visual language, performance direction, and production craft.

He holds a diploma in Filmmaking from the French University in Egypt, and a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the Faculty of Applied Arts.

He is also the founder of Whales Pictures, a boutique post-production studio that supports fellow filmmakers with high-end editing, VFX, and color grading — built around a strong in-house team and a clear creative vision rooted in craft.

He is currently focused on cinematic projects driven by strong vision, deep characters, and emotional storytelling.
